Centered in LGBTQ+ Aging. Open to All.

Silver Pride+ Connection at Holy Cross Health is a welcoming, affirming space focused on the experiences of LGBTQ+ adults age 50 and older, while remaining open to all who want to learn, connect, and support inclusive aging.

We recognize that aging brings unique challenges, especially for LGBTQ+ individuals who have lived through stigma, discrimination, and evolving healthcare systems. Silver Pride+ was created to address those realities while also inviting allies, caregivers, and community members into the conversation.

Through shared experiences and trusted health education, participants build meaningful connections, strengthen their voice, and feel empowered to live healthier and more confident lives at every stage of aging.

What Silver Pride+ Means for You

Silver Pride+ is more than a monthly program. It is a space where:

  • LGBTQ+ older adults can see their experiences reflected and understood
  • Allies, caregivers, and community members are welcomed into a respectful learning environment
  • Conversations about aging, identity, and health happen openly and honestly
  • Everyone has the opportunity to learn how to better support inclusive, healthy aging

This is a community where you can show up as you are and grow alongside others.

What to Expect

Each session focuses on real life topics that impact aging, with a particular emphasis on LGBTQ+ health, chronic illness, and navigating systems of care.

Monthly discussions and education include:

  • Health care navigation and reducing burnout
  • Aging and overall wellness
  • Mental health and emotional resilience
  • Chronic conditions and comorbidities
  • Caregiving and support systems
  • Advocacy and leadership development
  • LGBTQ+ identity across the lifespan

This is not a lecture. It is a conversation, a connection, and a community.
